The blowmolding process is responsible for converting the preform manufactured through injection molding into a water bottle. In this process, the preform is heated until it is in a semi-molten state, it is then inserted into a mold that is shaped like a bottle. High pressure air is blow into the preform, causing it to expand to the shape of the mold. This mold is chilled, causing the plastic to rapidly solidify. The mold then opens and ejects the bottle! .
