Our Process

The injection molding process is responsible for manufacturing our caps and preforms (the prerequisite to the bottle). In this process, plastic resin pellets are heated until they are liquid, then injected into a specially shaped mold that is kept very cold. This causes the plastic to solidify very quickly in the shape of the mold. At this point the mold opens and ejects the part. This entire process takes less than 3 seconds for a cap and 8 seconds for a preform.
